- It says here that the Greeks relied a lot on the Mediterranean Sea to shape the Civilization just like how the Egyptians relied on the Nile river.
- Sea travel and trade were also important because Greece lacked natural resources, such as timber,precious metals, and usable farmland.

- The Aegean Sea, the Ionian Sea, and the neighboring Black Sea were important transportation routes for the Greek people. These seaways linked most parts of Greece.
- This is where the boats dock whenever we trade products like timber, metal etc
- The Mediterranean Sea also served as as a trade route to trade for other countries/empires or even islands!
- As the Greeks became skilled sailors, sea travel connected Greece with other societies.

- they developed small, independent communities within each little valley and itssurrounding mountains
- Instead of a one man government like Egypt with their Pharaoh or one single government,
- There were a lot of mountains that surrounded Greece and because of this they divided Greece into regions
- walking on water
- Based on this the people in Greece lived through trading with other regions and used the sea as a means of transportation for these trades.
- They also live through small communities. This is how they affected the lives of the people
