स्टोरीबोर्ड पाठ

  • Application: Joyce Travelbee's Human-to-Human Relationship Model
  • Currently enrolled in an OJT program, Ms. Jen works at an office. She experiences unease during training. She later faints, and her coworkers take her to the Hospital.
  • I am sorry to inform you, Ma'am, but you have been diagnosed with Stage II Acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
  • The nurse asked Ms. Jen if she was okay because her skin was pale.
  • Original Encounter
  • I think you should talk to a doctor and get a check-up, Ma'am, to put your worries at ease.
  • Do you think so? Thank you for the advice. I did not know that healthcare workers are this approachable. I was scared, but not anymore.
  • Are you okay, Miss? You look pale.
  • Empathy
  • Oh, I’m also 23 years old Miss, I see we have so much in common.
  • May I ask how old you are, Miss?
  • I’m actually 23 years old and I also studied nursing a while back but I shifted to another course.
  • By: Ezeldin, Adam Ayman S.Lanza, Love Marie Khyne M.
  • Sympathy
  • I’m terrified that I’m too weak and my body would succumb easily to my illness.
  • Emerging Identities
  • Rapport
  • Both Nurse and Patient perceive each other as unique people. Bonds begin to form. The nurse suddenly noticed Ms. Jen was troubled so she decided to go to Ms. Jen and comfort her.
  • Nurse, what should I do now? What treatment should I undergo?
  • Ms. Jen begins by sharing their similarities at this point. They both now have the capacity to experience the other person's perspective. Both of them realize how similar and alike they are to one another.
  • The nurse wants to treat the underlying problem that is causing the patient's disease or suffering. She encouraged her to be strong and tell her to remember that there's still a person who is willing to be there for her.
  • This is the very moment that you need to be strong Miss, do not let your illness get the best of you. This is why you need to receive treatment, to help your body fight the disease. Never think that you are alone in this Miss because I’m sure that you aren’t.
  • Nursing interventions are then made to ease the patient's distress. Ms. Jen was urged by the nurse to undergo chemotherapy on a regular basis to maintain the disease's remission.
  • The Doctor highly recommends that you undergo chemotherapy immediately to prevent the cancer cells from spreading further.
