Tyson Howard Fever

Fever is based off of a girl surviving yellow fever in 1793. My favorite sceen for the book fever is when Mattie’s grandfather dies. Mattie and grandfather just got home from being dumped out of the wagon. Once they got inside, they realized that the coffe house has been robbed. They gathered all the food thtas they could find find and ate. Afterwards Mattie and grandfather went to bed. Mattie woke up to the sound of foot steps by the window.”what was that?” A strange voice asked. Mattie turned to where to sound was coming from and seen a tall man in the moonlight. Mattie slowing stood up and started sneaking to the window to escape. Then one of the robbers picked up a sword and started to swing it around. The rodder was about to swing the sword right at matties throught until Mattie yelled “no” and ran out the back door. One of the robbers grabbed mattie and took her back in the coffe house. Grandfather cam walking down the stairs with his rifle. One of the robbers punched grandfather and fought him to the floor. Mattie grabbed the sword and cut the robber then she chased him away. All of this fighting caused grandfather to die. This is and importantt them because mattie has to take care of herself now. She is all alone now.
