in 1740 east colonies wanted better conditions for farming and more freedom, so they went west and found the Ohio river valley which was in the french territory, also back then Britain and France were huge competitors in North America and did not like each other, which could be a risk because they don't like each other.
on their way to the Ohio river, they got ambush by the Native Americans, who eventually were on both sides, they also used a tactic called the gorilla tactic.
in 1754 french began building (what they called) fort Duquesne. By building a fort at the forks of the Ohio River, France hoped to control access to the Ohio River Valley.
That's the most reason the war happens it was because of space and how everybody wanted land.so they will have to fight for it.
since the last ambush, Washington knew that they will come back for revenge. So gorge Washington made a base in the middle of the woods but with open land because they always thought that fight in open land was the best.
eventually french came to ambush put the building was surrounded and George Washington couldn't do anything but the president at the time died due to the ambush and when he died gorge surrender=ed and a couple of weeks after they went for an ambush and instead of pushing they left and he because the president aka the saver.
