- I was having my 7th birthday party, and it was time to open presents. I was an extreme tomboy at the time, and hates anything that was even remotely girly. Before the party, my Mother had reminded me to say thank you, and be polite no matter if I liked the presents I got or if I hated them.

- As soon as the words came out of my mouth and I looked over and saw my best friend looking beyond embarrassed, I realized what I had done and felt absolutely horrible. To this day, he and I are still friends, and I still am sorry for how I reacted that day, and frankly, I'm quite embarrassed for the way I acted.
