The three estates. Everyone pays taxes, including the clergy , nobility , and peasants. The King and Queen are mismanaging their finances, and there is a lack of bread .

The third estate established the National Assembly in an indoor tennis court after estates 1, 2, and 3 had previously established the Estates General and barred the third estate from doing so. They would swear the tennis court oath, promising to continue meeting until they had drafted a constitution for all of France's citizens.

Weapons and ammunition were kept in storage at the bastille, a prison in Paris. Many believed that the prisoners the king imprisoned were treated unfairly and that the prison deserved to be demolished since it represented the evils of the monarchy. They therefore took action. and removed it. The occasion was on July 14, 1789, a day of celebration for all Parisians.

The reign of terror began in the years following King Louis's reign, his trial, and execution in 1793–1794, which led to the execution of 300,000 individuals, the majority of them were peasants or members of the lower middle class. Both the middle class and the guillotine were used to kill Robespierre. France needs to form a new administration once more following the terror reign.

The FR era came to an end with Napoleon's decisive defeat, and the monarchy changed from an absolute to a constitutional monarchy. Many still believed it would bring complete authority, but instead it gave rise to Enlightenment ideas, more nationalism, alliances between European leaders, and a current demand for self-rule.
