In the 1750s britan and france had colonies in North america
But the british wanted to settle the ohio river valley and to trade with native americans who lived there.
The french built forts to protect the trade with the Indians
But George washintong was involved and he led an army against the french in the 1754.
He was defeated
So britain declared war on the French , that was called the french and indian war.
But many americans indians in the region were allies with france.Also a lot of american indians like the french because they traded but the did not settle the land.And they respected them
One day Benjmin Franklin thought the colonies should work toghether so they could easily deafeat the French
They would create one govermet toghether to make a plan to work.
in 1757, britain sent more soilders to North America
But still the French keeped defeanding.
In 7063,Britian and the French signed a treaty of paris.
And the French gave Britian control of Canada and most land of the east missisipi river.And the british soilders stayed in the Ohio River Valley.
