- We lost our jobs and we don't know what to do. We hope that some relief will come soon. "This nation asks for action, and action now." We should keep listening to President Roosevelt's fireside chats for hope and encouragement.
- Don't be worried. Super Man is here with some good news! The Social Security Act is a New Deal Program that was created to financially help the elderly, the disabled, and the unemployed. "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Everything is going to be okay.
- Thanks Super Man. That really is good news.
- Just wait until they hear about all of the other help that they can get. This should be over soon and everybody will be back to work.
- The Great Depression was bad but Super Man came to our rescue with lots of information on programs that were designed to help. While I was unemployed, the Civil Works Administration (CWA) and the Social Security Act helped a lot. Since then, I have found a new job and because of the Congress of Industrial Organizations (CIO), I now qualify to belong to a union.
- Yes, that was scary! I'm so glad that we survived. Thank God for Super Man's help.
