- Ever since the age of six years old, Simone Biles has been training to become one of the best gymnasts in history. She had spent endless hours upon hours working in the gym.

- Upon her arrival, Simone got ready to compete. From taking penalties left and right, she began to become very frustrated with herself for not being the amazing athlete everyone knows her to be. Instantly, she knew what needed to be done.
- Simone had a conversation with the coach about her withdrawal and why she felt the need to do such a thing. She felt very passionate about not letting the team down and doing what is best for her mental health. She felt that she just needed to step back and reanalyze everything in order to let herself heal.
- No matter what decision Simone decided to go with, she was still going to face this social stigma that was presented by the public. Many people had both negative and positive things to say on her withdrawal.
- Even though it was hard to overcome all the hatred and negativity she had to face over the years, she became a huge role model for many people around the world. Stepping back and saying no to what she loves to do takes courage. She has shown everyone what it means to prioritize yourself in times of need and what it means to be selfless.
