- Uh..n what is gravitati-onal force?
- Hey a few days back I was walking down on a slanting road and I felt like my feet were out of control I mean like I wonder why that happened. Do ya'll know?
- Gravitation! It's because of the gravitational force!
- 'Course!
- Gravity, also called gravitation, force that exists among all material objects in the universe.
- That's right! Every object in the universe is surrounded by a gravitational field.
- for any two objects or particles having non-zero mass, the force of gravity tends them to attract towards each other.
- Well do u wanna hear a story 'bout it?

- As well as the moon orbits earth in a circle. Circular motion also requires a force- A centripetal force. Newton realised that the force accelerating the apple is the same force keeping the moon in orbit.
- So the story goes that Sir Isaac Newton deduced the law of gravitation upon seeing an apple fall from a tree. The apple accelerates as it falls. Newton realized that the force accelerating the apple must be coming from the earth itself.
