Can scars fade that quickly? Something doesn't seem right.
Jenna wakes up from a coma and struggles to remember her life and who she is. She can only rely on home videos to educate her on important milestones in her life.
Climax

Jenna begins to believe that her mother hates her because Jenna is not allowed to leave the house, go to school, or do anything by herself. Jenna begins to remember a small detail about her mother, Jenna calls her by her first name, which is Claire.
Falling Action
While watching a home video, she notices that there was a scar on her chin from year ten of the tapes. When she looks at herself in the mirror, there isn't a visible sign of the scar ever being there.
Resolution
Jenna accidentally cuts herself in the process of attempting to move mysterious "backups" that has her name on them, into her room. She bleeds a blue gel and her parents are forced to explain to her that she was in an accident and she is being held together by an illegal technology called Biogel. Only ten percent of her was saved from the accident.
Jenna tells her boyfriend, Ethan, about the Biogel and he accepts her the way that she is. Ethan told Jenna not to tell her friend Allys about it, because it would put Jenna in lots danger and he said that he would protect Jenna at all costs.
Jenna's friend, Allys, is dying and Jenna convinces her dad to perform the Biogel procedure on Allys. Now, Allys and Jenna will live forever together. Two hundred sixty years later, this procedure is now legal and known as the Jenna Standard. Jenna is peacefully living with many people just like her.
