Well... if you've read my book you'll know that religion derives from communities that for millions of years have joined in order to evolve and survive as they collaborate together for the same goal.
Sam, you're not understanding. I don't believe that there is some delusional superior agent that solves problems. But rather that these religions create a sense of belonging for individuals to rely on in times of crisis and in order to compete in such a volatile world. This was previously done with farming for example...
Regardless of this super natural agent or not that probably derived from a hyper sensitive agency in which groups blamed or made responsible a superior for its intentions, the concept of religion relies on subjectivity to find one's own truth or reality. Something which is not objective and rather based on emotions. Thus, it denies the evidence and facts that science proofs
