- This is the price in the last room, the seventh room.
- "the dark hangings through the blood-tinted panes was ghastly in the extreme" (497 POE).The word choice of "ghastly" gives off a mysterious vibe and provides us with a dark mood that can make us feel uneasy at times.
- The prince had provided all the appliances of pleasure. There were buffoons, there were improvisatori, there were ballet dancers, there were musicians, there was Beauty, there was wine. All these and security were within. Without was the “Red Death."The prince believes that if he locks him and his "friends" within a castle, locked. That they will escape death.
- There were seven—an imperial suite. In many palaces (499 POE).The seven suites in the castle represent different stages in life, starting from birth all the way to old age and finally death. Death is the last room, seventh, which happens to be the all black room and the Prince thinks he can escape his death. Which is inevitable.The picture above is the seventh room, representing death.
