स्टोरीबोर्ड पाठ
- CRACK, the ball is blasted way up into the air. Everyone watches it with wide eyes as it lands behind the home run fence. He just hit a grand slam. As the other team rounds the bases the White Sox think that the game is over, that they have already lost.
- CRACK!
- Ben’s team is able to get the next two batters out and they get out of the inning. Coach calls the players into a circle around him. “Do you guys think it’s over?”, he says. “Do you guys think you can’t win? All of you can do anything if you put your mind to it. We are up to bat next and if you want to win this game go out there and make it happen. I can’t win the game for you, only you can. Everyone put their hands in the middle. Win on three, 1, 2, 3, WIN!”
- After the pep talk from coach, everyone was excited. Jeremy, the first player up, gets ready to hit. The tall kid who hit the homerun is pitching while everyone on the bench and the parents in the bleachers cheer for the White Sox. The pitch comes and Jeremy hits a ground ball, he sprints toward first base and as the ball flies toward first base, Jeremy makes it first.“SAFE!” the umpire calls.
