- Alcinous actually knows it is Odysseus and wants to help him get to his kingdom Ithaca. Odysseus is very thankful of Alcinous helping him. "You told my daughter Nausicaa that you are Odysseus, and I see in your eyes that you spoke the truth."
- Odysseus sets off on his final voyage to his home."So at dawn he boarded the ship which Alcinous gave him, and lay down on the fore deck."
- At last Odysseus has reached Ithaca and is left there sleeping after the crew leaves."Odysseus is home again - Safely home with wife and kin."
