- I am Reverend Parris I am the town's Preacher and Leader. I am motivated by keeping my reputation in the town clean, and as a consequence of my social status and reputation am not accused of witchcraft only of being corrupt. I expect respect and order for I am the towns leader.

Although I am not entirely honest and neither is Abigail, I am motivated to keep my Wife innocent in the Witch Trials.
