- Billy is walking through the streets of Bath, England, wondering where to stay for the night. He spots of Bed and Breakfast and can't decide whether to go to the Bed Dragon or to check out the B B.

- Billy makes the decision to ring the ringer to the B B. Normally it takes someone a minute or so to answer the ringer, but before Billy could take his finger off the ringer, the Landlady swung the door open at an alarming speed.

- No, my Mullholland was a Cambridge undergraduate.
- I think Mr,Mullholland was an Eton schoolboy and was in the newspaper..
- The Landlady takes Billy to where he'll stay for the night. She tells him about how all of his necessities have been taken care of.

- The Landlady told Billy to come down and sign the check-in book after he was done settling in. But as Billy looked at the book, he saw two names that seemed so familiar...

- The Landlady brings Billy tea, and he ponders about where he had heard the names before. He realizes that he had seen the names in a newspaper a while back.
- Billy realizes that her parrot and dog were still and no longer alive.The Landlady also tells Billy that both of the people from the check-in book were still at her B B.
