Two sisters named Bianca and Katherine are called shrews. Bianca is younger then her sister and is eager for a husband, however she is not allowed to marry until her much opposite sister does. A man named Petruchio is sent in to change that.
Katherine is not a fan of her father's suitor for her. She despises Petruchio but she has no choice but to marry him and her father accepts, pleasing Bianca.
Petruchio shows up late for the wedding and marries Katherine. He kisses her and the crowd is in cringe due to how bad his outfit and kiss was. He begins to control and deny things for Katherine which enrages her.
Katherine is upset by the fact that Petruchio does not allow her to eat anything, and is starving her. He claims that nothing is ever good enough for her to eat, making sure that she stays hungry even when the food is quite delicious.
After many months of living as a wife to Petruchio, Katherine discovers that her sister, Bianca, is getting married. She begins her journey back to her fathers home to celebrate and attend the wedding. On this trip home, Katherine finally begins to give in to Petruchio.
