- How could people pay their way to heaven? salvation is through faith, and faith alone, not through good works as the church says. The scripture of God supports this!

As well as the hierarchical division between the laity and clergy in the church which is practically palpable. All people have access to God through Jesus Christ, and therefore we are all equal within the church.
