  • Sky is back to school from her 2019 Christmas vacation with her family, she is very excited to share with her peers, the grate experience she had. Piaget (1936) considered the concrete stage as a significant turning point in the child's cognitive development because it marks the beginning of logical or operational thought.

  • Sky's parents has a warm and nurturing style, known as Authoritative. They are concern about her emotional well-being at this time. Parents play a vital role in ensuring children maintain their mental health by listening to them, acknowledging their difficulties, reassuring them, and also to provide emotional support in resolving their issues.
  • Kids her age should be interacting with their peers, this is part of their development.
  • Sky's parents realize her need for interaction. Finding possible solutions that will aid in her continuous development. Alleviating negative impacts of COVID-19 for Sky and children in her developmental stage group will require multi-sectoral approaches and interventions in their health, nutrition, protection, participation and early education that can help foster their Physical, Cognitive, Emotional & Social development.
