- The Proclamation of 1763 was a law passed that prohibited the colonists from settling anywhere west of the Appalachian Mountains, and it was passed to prevent the colonists and the Natives from getting into conflict
- The Boston Tea Party
- The Stamp Act was a law that placed a tax on all paper products, most prominent being stamps, and it was passed to pay for the recent French and Indian War, which made colonists mad since there was no representation.
- The Intolerable Acts
- The Boston Massacre occurred on March 5, 1770. It started after drunk colonists wandered out of a bar and started bothering British soldiers, who then unloaded their muskets and killed 5 colonists.
- The First Continental Congress
- The Boston Tea Party happened on the night of December 16, 1773, and it was a protest against the tea act by the colonists, and they protested by dumping $1 million in today's money worth of tea into the Boston Harbor.
- The Intolerable Acts closed down the Boston Harbor after the Boston Tea Party, and they made it so that colonists had to house British soldiers, which made them angrier at the British.
- The First Continental Congress was a gathering held in Philidelphia, Pennsylvania on September 5, 1774, which included 12 out of the 13 British colonies (all except Georgia) to organize resistance to the Intolerable Acts.
