- Yes Your right!, Inflation reduces the purchasing power of money since more money is now needed to buy the same items. High rates of inflation mean that unless income increases at the same rate, people are worse off. This leads to lower levels of consumer spending and a fall in sales for businesses.
- Inflation is the rise in the price of goods and services across an economy. When the general price level rises, each unit of currency buys less products and services; as a result, inflation equals a loss of money's purchasing power.
- As you saw, the prices were very low in 2009! Now, the prices of each goods are doubled and some are even triple the price!!. This is because of inflation.
