  • Women can now vote. 
  • Equality 
  • We are sick of men getting to do whatever they want and we have to stay home all day. We arent slaves, and we arent going to be for much longer.
  • Changes for an easier life
  • I dont have to have 14 children and be a housewife anymore?!
  • No, now that there is new cleaning appliences and birth control we have more time to go out and work a real job. We can support ourselves!

  • In 1920, the 19th amendment have given the women the right to vote. 
  • Flappers
  • A- Are.. those bare L-Legs
  • SHOULDERS!
  • After women were given the right to vote, making them equal to men politically. Though even after that, they wanted more freedom. 
  • The end of an era
  • Not all women had participated in this new freedom, but there were still changes coming to their way or work or life. There was a increased availibility in birth control, new machines and technoligies like the washing machine and vacumm cleaner had made cleaning easier. They were also given the oppurtunity to work manaul labor jobs, that were before seen as "Male" work.
  • How it changed things today
  • 
  • Flappers were a group of women that went against all expectaions of them, they wore short "revealing" dresses, along with makeup and their hair in a bob. They also drank, smoked, and danced at jazz clubs while practicing sexual freedom. This shocked many, but was very benificial.
  • These dresses are much more comfortable, i hated wearing those corsets
  • The age of the flappers came down on 1929, when the stock market crashed and the start of the great depression had begun, they could no longer afford the lifestyle.
  • Im really gonna miss all the fun weve being having 
  • Im gonna miss these dresses....
  • Even though flappers were over, women still continued to fight for rights. Flappers and all those women have gotten us to where we are today. Now women can have any career or life choice theyd like.
