- Mike is thankful for John. He thought he would be the least likely to help out of the other dogs but he was the one to have empathy for Mike.

- Mike's owner was so happy to see mike. He thanked John for bringing him back and they asked John if he wanted to live with them. John said yes. Now they are best friends. The End.

- The story you just read is about a dog that gets lost. The dog gets lost and then other dogs walk by. The first dog gets scared of helping him , the second one ignore his need of help and the third one makes fun of him. Then the cat walks by and helps him. The cat was the only one that showed compassion and empathy. All the other dogs ignored him and had no mutual respect. The only one that showed mutual respect was the cat by identifying Mikes needs. The cat showed empathy by not laughing at mike and sharing mikes feelings. Thinking that if he was lost he would want someone to help him. The cat had empathy for Mike even though cats don't like dogs. The main message for the story is love everyone even if they are your worst enemy it does not matter everyone deserves love. If you saw a homeless person we would normally ignore their need but maybe from now on do a nice gesture like giving them water. If there is someone hurt in the playground but you do not really like them still go over and offer help. We can all show love to everyone in our world.

He was the only one that had empathy for mike unlike all the other dogs that ignored him. John was treating people how he wanted to be treated. He was showing compassion and realising that Mike was sad
