- Exposition
- You know what? I'm Squeaky! I'm the best at running, and I'm gonna win again this year. No one can compete with my skill, except Dad of course.
- Inciting Incident
- No matter what Gretchen may think, she can never beat me. She's got short legs, freckles, and on top of all, no one can beat me, it's ridiculous for someone to believe otherwise.
- Rising Action
- I don't think you're going to win this time.
- I always win because I'm the best.
- You signing up for the May Day races?
- Squeaky is a young girl committed to her running and lives in New York City. She has to take care of her older brother Raymond, who has a disability.
- Climax
- GET ON YOUR MARK!
- Squeaky you must win, you must win, you are the fastest thing in the world, you can even beat your father up Amsterdam if you really try.
- In first place, Miss Hazel Elizabeth Deborah Parker.
- Squeaky mentions her running the race and her newfound enemy Gretchen, showcasing her pride.
- Falling Action
- I knew I could win! But wait, what does the P in Gretchen's name stand for?
- In second place, Miss Gretchen P. Lewis.
- Squeaky trains hard for her race and comes across Gretchen and her sidekicks.
- Resolution
- She's not bad, she's actually good no doubt. Maybe she can help we with Raymond's running...
- Squeaky begins the race against Gretchen.
- Squeaky sees Raymond running and finds out she won the race.
- Squeaky genuinely smiles Gretchen and realizes how much potential Raymond has when running. The lesson learned was no matter who you are, you have the potential that you set your mind to. This is the lesson learned because even though many people doubted Raymond’s capabilities he proved them wrong and showed people his disability couldn’t stop his talent.
