- The men of the clan come together to hear the news. They find out that a woman from their tribe has been killed in a village near them. They bring Okonkwo to bring back a virgin girl and boy from their village.
- Okonkwo is a rich man in his community. He is of the Umuofia clan. He is a fighter and is highly respected by everyone in his community. He defeats Amazline The Cat (an undefeated fighter). This brought much pride to his village
- Okonkwo"s father was lazy and not a strong role model for him. He never payed back the people he owed and so he died in debt and he didn't have a respected title.
- Dead beat father. You were literally good for nothing. What an embarrassment of a father!
- Okonkwo successfully brings back both the virgin girl and boy to his village. They decide that the girl will go with with the widower to substitute his murdered wife and the boy will join Okonkwo's family.
- I guess I have to bring up and give value to the name of my family since my father couldn't do it.
- Umuofia kwenu!!!
- You will take care of this child till the clan tells me what to do with him. You will do as I say without questioning me! Understand?
