Friction is when two surfaces come in contact. On smoother surfaces there is less friction.

Because your not elastic like the rubber band you wont go back to your original shape after being stretched.
What happened to me
When we jumped off gravity pulled us down towards the earth. My wings cause air resistance that slows me. But your wings don't so you fall fast.
