As news of Harold’s coronation spreads, both William and Harald Hadrada of Norway plan to invade England to contest the throne.

At the Battle of Stamford Bridge Harald Hadrada and King Harold's brother Tostig are killed.
William of Normandy and his forces land at Pevensey on the Sussex coast.
The Battle of Hastings takes place. King Harold of England is killed and William of Normandy is victorious.
