- Welcome to my ship!My name is John Hawkins,I'm a slave trader, and the Queen Elizabeth I is my business partner.In other words, I get people, and then sell them to others in America's farms for work.Slave trade is quite profitable, I have made my fortune from it.
- What is a slave?Where the journey begins and ends?
- First, I go to Africa, and exchange goods like wool, clothes and chains for black people.Then, I cross the Atlantic Ocean, and sell the black people in America.Finally, I come back with cotton, rum and raw materials to sell them in England.
- Well, let me tell you. A slave is a person who is sold to someone else to be a property, losing all kind of freedom and rights.
- The person is also forced to work hard without any payment in return, and has to obey and do whatever the owner wants.
- Trading in Africa.
- I have wool, clothes and corn.What do you have for me?
- We captured these men, they are criminals. You can take them in return.
