- From U.S.’s perspective, the Louisiana purchasewas significant because it gave U.S. access to the Mississippi river which could greatly improve trade and grow U.S.’s economy a lot. From the perspective of France, the Louisiana purchase was a great deal because they just got out of a war with Britain, they needed the money to repay their debts and to not have to be neighbors with the United States.

From the Cherokee’s perspective, the trail oftears was significant because they were being forced out of their homes and could not go back, this proved to them that the United States don’t like the natives and want to take their land and get rid of them. From the perspective of the U.S. settlers, the trail of tears was significant because they wanted the Cherokee’s land, but they would not give it up, so the trail of tears was punishment for not following U.S.’s treaties.
