- Valley Forge was another turning point in the war. During the harsh winter, supplies were short, but the troops came back stronger and disciplined.
- The Battle of Yorktown was planned by George Washington and was the final blow needed to win the war, and the British surrendered.

- The Treaty of Paris was signed in Paris by representatives of both sides. The Treaty of Paris was the document that officially ended the war.
