Hello children, welcome to the Kenya Space Center . My name is Mr Munene and I am the Chief Engineer here.
We use Rockets to get humans, satellites and other things to space
This is our GOBA Rocket that will be sending astronauts to space. It is a solid rocket
How does it fly?
Where do the astronauts sit?
It flies by burning fuel which is expelled out and a reacting force pushes it upwards . Its called Thrust. The forces involved are gravity, thrust which enables it to start moving up.
Then once it starts moving, other forces like drag ,lift are involved . It burns fuel as it moves
Forces acting the Rocket
Astronauts sit inside the space shuttle ,and once the solid rockets are no longer in use, the space shuttle continues the journey...
I wonder what happens if the fuel finish before it reaches space
