This lady works at Lowell farms and is glad that there is a cotton gin so then it wouldn't be hard to take the seeds out of the cotton. She thinks that no one will need to work any more.
She thought no one had to work...
This increased the demand for enslaved "property" because there is a lot of harvesting to be done. Enslaved people were viewed as property than human beings.
Many slaves were captured and put in metal chains.
