- Then I wanted to present what I found to my pears, so I presented my third piece of information, which is: According to NCRB, 10,159 students' death was caused by suicide in 2018, and an increase from 9,905 in 2017, and 9,478 in 2016. And 2019 reported a further spike of 3.4 % suicide rates
- And I found out that: Not getting enough likes on the teenagers' social media accounts makes them feel that they’re not liked. They also bully each other or send death threats to each other because they have an opposing point of view which lets them feel that they are wrong and that because of their opinion they will die
- When influencers advertise products, and most of the teens can’t buy these products because of financial issues they will feel that they’re imperfect.
- Also, if we compare the teenagers between past and the future, we can see that they weren't exposed to different cultures, and if they wanted to they should learn a new language and find a person, and this process takes a long time and effort.
- But the teenagers nowadays are exposed more to the different cultures or languages, there is google translate for example which eases the process of communicating with foreigners.
- How to stop your addiction to social media platforms?Set a timer for 20-30 minutes to check social media or schedule specific times to check it. Turn your phone to silent mode. Limit the number of applications you use or take a break from social media.
