Vygotskysociocultural theory
first up is private and inner speech
private speech- used to regulate ones behavior.inner speech- talking to yourself/self-directed dialogue, thoughts
next, scaffolding
scaffolding- matching assistance to learner's needs
zone of proximal development
zone of proximal development- differences between what one can do alone or with assistance
intersubjectivity
intersubjectivity- participants begin a task with different understandings and arrive at a shared one.
and finally, guided participation
guided participation- assisting children as they perform adult-like activities.
