- 11th of April, 1919Japan requested that the Treaty include a clause to indicate the Japan is seen as equal to the Western Powers. The League were rejected their plea for human rights and racial equality, leaving Japan devastated. Powers that aren't part of the League have also prohibited Japanese immigration to their countries.

- February 6th, 1922The Nine-Power Treaty was a pact signed by nine powers: The U.S, Great Britain, Belgium, France, Japan, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal and of course, China. The treaty enables China to have territorial integrity and independence from other nations. China also gave rights to all the nations to legitimate trades, one equal terms. The Washington Conference also led to the annulment of Japan's 21 Demands. Japan therefore lost all special-power they had on China.
- The Japanese have been humiliated and stripped of their power, like the Germans were. They both seek a sort of vengeance for their countries. The devastation Japan faced can be considered a catalyst for their alliance with Germany in World War 2.
