  • In his story "Harrison Bergeron," Kurt Vonnegut makes the point that in society we tend to put people in categories of success based on their looks. He makes a point in his story showing how if we did not judge people based off their looks we would all be equal with equal opportunities. Also, showing how no one would be superior or above another person if we all looked at each other the same. He also makes a point when Harrison wanted to show off his beauty to everyone which shows how everyone wants to feel beautiful and feel appreciated. Vonnegut also explains throughout the story that if we all looked the same no one would able to compare their beauty to anyone else's.
