- Aponi - tolau lord of the mountain was bored and wandered the plains and reached seashore.

- The cries of the seaweed maidens brought Tau-mariu from his abode. He was too late. He called the waves and the armies of the tuna fish and ordered to lash the raft ang throw Aponi-tolau into the deep. Humitau beg to his fahter to stop the flood because she could no longer swim or live in the water and she had already lost her sea powers.
- AFTER THE FLOOD SUBSIDED, APONI-TOLAU AND HUMITAU DESCENDED FROM THE CORDILLERA. THEY PLANTED TRESS,FLOWERS AND BLOSSOMING GRAIN TO HEAL THE EARTH ONCE MORE.
- Tau-mariu pulled back the sea to its shores and the rivers to their beds. He did it all for Humitau, but he never forgave Aponi-tolau. He swore that any men's boat will sink until Aponi-tolau crime is appeased.
