Exposition
Conflict
Rising Action
Thomas is brought up in the box, and is introduced to all the gladers. He makes his first friend Chuck and aspires to be a runner.
Climax
Thomas ran into the maze to save Minho and Alby, defying the Gladers number on rule. Teresa also arrives in the box.
Falling Action
Thomas and Minho are the first Gladers to survive the maze over night and kill a griever. The council has to take a vote on whether to banish Thomas or keep him. They decide to keep him.
Resolution
Teresa wakes up and Minho and Thomas find the griever hole
The grievers start killing one Glader each night, and the Gladers decide to leave to maze.
The gladers escape the maze and meet the creators. The creators kill Chuck. Shortly after the gladers are rescued by a rebel group.
