While they went looking for other lands to live on they killed lots of people to get what they wanted.
The Vikings lived in Scandinavia. But because there was very little farmland they had to venture out to find a better home.
Once their was a viking named Leif Erikson, I know right Leaf. Leif lived and Greenland and had many exciting voyages to Norway, Vinland and lots more.

On one of his many trips Leif and his friends got blown of course and accidentally to North America

But they didn't stay very long because there was indigenous people trying to kill them so they set back off to Greenland.
It was not until 1492 when Christopher Columbus redisovered North America and created a colony there.
