- ...So I went to a nursing school and there I met my best friend, Isis.
- Hi there!
- I stayed for 6 months in the nursing school.
- That's where I learnt what kinds of plants Aborigines mostly use for medecine
- Eucalyptus oil is very good for respiratory problems and to fight bacteria.
- Then they sent me to the battlefront but not the same front as Isis. We lost sight of each other for a while
- I remember as our ship left the quay this woman who was crying and yelling for her husband. It broke my heart into pieces
- Then I met your father. He was sent to the hospital where I was working. He was injured after an explosion, as a big piece of glass had got stuck into his arm.
- It was love at first sight for the both of us. And as I had to take of his wound, we got close really quickly
- After some intense years , the war was finally over. At the nurse award ceremony, Isis, the other nurses and I were rewarded with the Florence Nightingale Medal.
- And to the 22,000 nurses that served their country with might and main!
- To honor the 40 million people that died during the war...
- One year later, your father and I, still deeply in love like the first day we met, got married....
