- Ah, nothing like the Canadian great outdoors. Canada's National parks system works hard to preserve and protect Canada's geographic heritage. Many Canadians identify with the land and animals here, animals such as myself. I must be pretty good looking to have so many fans!
- Canadian soldiers who fought at Vimy Ridge not only brought home a tremendous victory, but ignited a strong sense of pride and national identity within the country. This battle was a key event in the development of Canada as a sovereign nation.
- This legend, named Terry Fox was a young Canadian who ran coast-to-coast through Canada with the goal of raising money and awareness for cancer, but ended up doing more than that. Fox united people all across the country for decades to come.
- Former Prime Minister, Lester B. Pearson recognized the importance of Canada’s national unity. Under his leadership, the government implemented a Canada Pension Plan; a universal medicare system; a unified Armed Forces; and a new national flag.
- Ugh! Late again!
- The Charter of Rights and Freedoms includes democratic guarantees, freedom of movement, legal equality and language rights. National unity is both promoted and challenged through the division of power between federal and provincial governments. Fundamental responsibilities such as education continue to be influential in continuing to promote equality, allow understanding of historical perspectives and further enhance national identity.

- A sense of nationalism is created through shared experiences and connection through one another. Hockey in Canada is a common unifier and symbol of national pride among many Canadians.
