- Hi I am Gabriel. I want to tell you the lifestyle of Brazilian's tribes. Brazil was once home to as many as2000 indigenous tribes. Brazil's main crop was sugar cane which was grown using slave labor and then exported to Europe to be traded for other goods. I and my family were also worked as slave in Sugar cane fields.
- Dutch attempted to occupy Portuguese America, with enormous loss of life ,property, trades and massive dislocation of population.
- Europeans arrived in the 1500's.They settled and claimed Brazil for the Portuguese Em pire.The country main export at the time was reddish wood and sugar cane for which my country was famous but one of the greatest tragedies in the history of Braxil when Dutch West India Company came into Brazil.
- During the mid 17th century the Dutch occupied Brazil's productive areas,however this campaign was shortlived and things soon returned to normal.
- Finally following more than three centuries under Portuguese rule ,we gained our independence in 1822,maiintaining monarchial system of government until the abolition of slavery in 1888 and subsequent republic made in 1889.Then I was very happy in my free Brazil.
