- A meteor-like object flies overhead on Maple Street, a peaceful residential street somewhere in America. All electronics and electricity go dark after it passes.
- Climax
- Tommy, a small boy, relates a story about aliens from outer space that he read. People begin to suspect each other of being secret aliens after believing his claims.
- Falling Action
- Pete Van Horn, one of the residents, departs to investigate the next block. Meanwhile, Mr. Goodman's car starts on its own. Everyone thinks he's an extraterrestrial.
- THE WORLD IS FINALLY OURS
- Maple St
- The mob notices a man approaching them. Charlie takes out a gun and shoots Van Horn, who has returned.
- I - I thought he was - was a Alien
- HE'S DEAD !!

- Everyone is hysterically. Charlie yells that the true alien is Tommy, the small boy who knew what was about to happen before it did.

- THE TRUE ALIEN IS TOMMY !

- In the end, aliens observe the settlement as it self-destructs. The aliens used a simple tactic to turn the residents against each other.
