The Tea Acts were initiated on May 10, 1773. It was when England removed taxes on everything, but tea. This caused an uproar in the colonies because they would rather give up their food than their tea.

The Battles of Lexington and Concord were fought on April 18 and 19 of 1775. These were the first two battles in the American Revolution. At Lexington, American troops were outmatched by the mighty British army. But, at Concord, the tides were turned. The American troops did a surprise attack on the British forces, causing them to retreat. This battle is known for the "Shot heard around the world".
