- I have some unfortunate news. The Lake has not seen peace. something terrible happened to itThe sun caused the temperature to rise (through Radiation) and caused the water to evaporate (yes, Evaporation)Evaporation is a type of vaporization that occurs at the surface of liquids and is a slower process than boiling. Here, the particles of a liquid slowly change to a gas, or water vapor.
