- The molecules of a liquid are attracted to each other but move more freely and past one another.
- One day on the first week of winter there was a cave that belonged to a bat but the bat shared the cave with some water droplets. The bat was out hunting for food for the winter
- In a gas, particles are in continual straight-line motion. The kinetic energy of the molecule is greater than the attractive force between them, thus they are much farther apart and move freely of each other. In most cases, there are essentially no attractive forces between particles.
- A few hours later a VERY cold breeze entered the cave slowly freezing the water the air used kinetic energy to freeze the water. The bat was still out hunting when this happened. the cold breeze then...
- The particles (atoms or molecules) are attracted to each other. The particles (atoms or molecules) vibrate but do not move past one another. The solid retains its shape.
- BROUGHT IN SNOW AND FROZE EVERYTHING the bat came back with her energy going out of her body so she slept through the winter and when spring came everything was better
