- Maya lives in a house with her Mom and Dad. Maya goes to school. Her Dad goes to work. Her Mom stays at home. They are a family.
- Annie and Sarah are building a crib. Their baby is in another mom's tummy far away still. When the baby is born, Annie and Sarah will bring her home. The baby will have two Moms. They are a family.
- Ayesha's Mom and big sister wear Hijabs when they go to the store. Ayesha does not. They are a family.
- Emily's Mom and Dad are teaching her two different religions. Sometimes Emily's Dad reads Bible stories at bedtime. Sometimes Emily and her Mom pray together before they go to sleep, but every night her Mom and Dad both kiss her goodnight. They are a family.
- Kelly is going to have a baby. Kelly's Mom comes to every doctor's visit. The baby will have a Mom and a Grandma taking care of him every day. They are a family.
- Suzy's Mom and Dad use wheelchairs. Suzy helps her Mom and Dad with chores around the house. They are a family.
- Amelia has a little brother named Tristan. Amelia and Tristan's Dad works many mornings and nights in a hospital. Amelia watches Tristan when their Dad is at work. They are a family.
