- DNA, or deoxyribonucleic acid, is the material that contains hereditary information in humans and almost all other organisms.
- And where is the connection with the RNA?
- RNA or ribonucleic acid is the other type of nucleic acid that makes protein synthesis possible. Although DNA contains genetic information, RNA is what allows it to be understood by cells.
- Professor and what are the proteins for?
- The flow of information from DNA to RNA to proteins is one of the fundamental principles of molecular biology. It is so important that it is sometimes called the "central dogma."
