- Hana was tired of the life she had in Japan. She didn't want to get married but also didn't want to stay home and just be a teacher. Hana's uncle told her there was a man in America waiting on her for them to get married. She knew that this was an opportunity of a lifetime.

- Hana gets to work in the shop and helps Taro around. This starts bringing more customers in. Hana also starts meeting new people.
